[+] Why the title "Divne Heresy"?
The name "Divine Heresy" suits better, don't you think?
Mostly inspired for his original "I fight in the name of God" motto, but he was an alchemist, and alchemy was considered heresy.
Or you can blame my love for music and say that it is inspired by a metal band with the same name? and that the title was just perfect for Mathias (like I mentioned in the line above).

Because I changed again! D: hosts and all that jazz. Now everything is under my complete control, so, let's pray and hope that this time the site can live for a loooong long time.

A weird person known in the int3rw3bz as "Akira Rodhernan".

- Yes to any "official" related material that has no specification on 'do not take it' (such as images, texts and that). You can take stuff for you or your site as long as you do not duplicate my entire sites, and I'll really appreciate if you give the proper credit to the source (if it is this site or another one).
- And NO to take fan submitted material (such as fanart, sprites...). If you want to take something to use, please contact the authors first.

[+] Why do I like Mathias?
This answer is going to be a massive rant, so, skip if you want and procceed to check the rest of the site.
Well, I just loooove Mathias! And why? Let's start with the most obvious reason, the appearance, how does he looks. Mathias is the hottest man I've seen in any videogame. (sorry Hwoarang but we have to admit it XD). Mathias has a really beautiful look, yeah, he's handsome, beautiful, and not 'girly' (like Joachim for example).
Mathias looks manly and handsome. His hair, his face, his eyes, his body... Hahaha! I wish I had a man like him. Too bad he is only a majestic character design who came from the wicked mind of our beloved Ayami Kojima.
But not only his look is what I like. I like his wisdom, he's very smart and intelligent. I have a strange love/fetish (call it however you want) for strategists (i.e. Zhuge Liang).
He didn't move a finger to get the Crimson Stone. Too bad he suffers the syndrome of most intelligent men in videogames, he becomes kinda crazy (like FF7 Sephiroth did), but I can live with that.
I found this character very interesting. An alchemist... Fighting in the name of God?
This is curious since in that time, alchemy was considered as heresy. So, I think Mathias was really open minded, at least just in that way.
With this, I start to think how his childhood was; learning the secrets of alchemy, how intelligent he is, how he decided to become into a tactician master.
How the campaigns were? The art of war! I love it! I love that stuff, love tactical games, strategy and war.
I'm curious about how he met Elisabetha. I find Elisabetha as an interesting person too. I wonder how she won Mathias' heart. Although I don't like love stories too much, but I could be interested in something like this, since Elisabetha looks like a sweet and devoted wife. And Mathias has good taste, first Elisabetha and then Lisa. (Elisabetha, Lisa, Sara and Sypha are my fave female characters from CastleVania).
Do you want another reason? The voice! (english pl0x) omg Mr. Freeman's voice! One of the best voice actings in the whole game. That voice suits perfect for him. I love how he says:
"If limited life is God's decree, then I shall defy it!... And within that eternity, I shall curse Him forevermore".
I love his name too. I like specially the english spelling. The spanish one sounds rather simple. In english, sounds more elegant.
More? His role in the game, his design, I'm fond specially with his second outfit (the one you see at the end of the game). I love that long cape with that furry thingy on his shoulder. I dunno why, but I like that clothes, specially on a man who can wear it without looking effeminate... Like Mathias! And that evil look on his face...
